Scotland have announced Squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2022: The Scottish cricket team has been announced for the 2022 T20 World Cup. With 15 main squad members on standby, two players have been kept aside to be chosen should any injuries or withdrawals occur before 10 October. Richie Berrington will lead his side in the World T20, where he is joined by Chris Greaves, who made his debut last time. Matt Cross has been named as Deputy and wicketkeeper during this tournament.
All-rounder Brandon McMullen has been called to the Scotland squad for next month’s T20 World Cup. McMullen, who has been called up on the back of impressive performances at regional matches and A team events with both bat and ball; while Wheal finished fifth overall, this season’s Vitality Blast top wicket takers table 22 wickets in 13 matches playing for champions Hampshire after which he also played in hundred.

The squad includes some experienced players, such as Berrington and George Munsey. They will be joined by Matt Cross in their batting department, while Watt, Safyann Sharif or Hamza Tahir will be in the bowling lineup.
Head coach Shane Burger said: “It was good to see other younger players put performances in under pressure, and I have no doubt their opportunities will come in the not-too-distant future,”
“We have selected 15 that we believe will make the desired impact we are looking for. For those players who are not going to the World Cup, we look forward to seeing them challenging for international honors in years to come.
“The squad has a blend of youth and experience alongside locally based players and County representatives. The balance of the team and chemistry is crucial to contributing to performances at the World Cup. We believe we have a good mix of the above and have selected players that are in form and can perform under pressure.”
