ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Warm-up Matches: The ICC has announced the fixtures for all 16 teams ahead of this year’s Men’s T20 World Cup. The tournament will be held in Australia from October 16th-13th Nov, and it promises to offer some mouthwatering matches; not only does every team have a chance at winning silverware, but there are also qualification spots up for grabs, so watch out, world – these players want nothing more than victory against their peers from other nations.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 is just around the corner, and all 16 teams will play their first warm-up matches in Melbourne or Brisbane. The First Round takes place between October 10th – 13, with games to be played at either GC (Melbourne) & Junction Oval(Brisbane).
The teams that have made it to the Super 12 stage will play their warm-up fixtures in Brisbane over two consecutive days, with five games being played at The Gabba and one on Allan Border Field.West Indies, the two-time champions of this tournament, will face UAE in a warm-up fixture at Junction Oval on 10th October. Each team is set to play two matches before facing their respective opponents for real.
The Gabba is set to host Australia’s only official warm-up fixture against India on 17th Oct. The world number one seeds will face New Zealand on 19th Oct, in the formality of another match before their elite tournament begins.
With the warm-up fixtures being played at The Gabba, public members will not have access to watch these matches live, but you can follow every ball on either Star Sports or ICC digital channel. Both networks have agreements with rights holders, which means they’ll provide score updates and highlights after each match.
