Pakistan Announced Strong Squad for T20 World Cup 2022: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the men’s squads for next month’s T20 World Cup in Australia. While Babar Azam will lead his side, Shadab Khan is there and ready to take on all sorts of challenges with him. Pakistan has named almost the similar squad featured in the recent Asia Cup 2022, where they are runners-up after losing the final to Sri Lanka.
Babar Azam and co were semifinalists after winning all their group stage matches against India, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Namibia Scotland in the UAE edition of this year’s World Cup. In the final four fixtures at Dubai, eventual winners bested Pakistan to set up the final against Newzealand.

Pakistan Announced Strong Squad for T20 World Cup 2022
Their squad announcement highlighted the inclusion of star pacer Shaheen Afridi, who will be playing in his first match since July. He’s expected to regain complete fitness before October when Pakistan hosts an international tournament known as T20 World Cup.
Fakhar Zaman, the top-order batter for Pakistan in their Asia Cup squad, has been relegated to the reserve players’ list. He was not impressive during this time; he only accumulated 96 runs at 16 on average while playing against Hong Kong (53).
The middle order of Pakistan was a major concern for them during the Asia Cup, but they have since elected to retain all three players in their T20 World Cup squad. It’s been a while since these guys last played together, so it will be interesting to see how things go in the world cup.
Chief selector Muhammad Wasim: “We have a team that can perform strongly in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. That’s why we have shown faith and confidence in almost the same set of players who have been part of the T20I squad post the 2021 World Cup in the UAE.
“These players have performed well since November 2021 and that’s why we have won nine out of our last 13 T20Is. We have invested in these cricketers and it is fair to them that they get the opportunity to show their mettle in the World Cup, an event for which they have been preparing and training hard.
“We needed to ensure continuity and support to these players, and that’s precisely what we have done.
